The Students Against Drinking & Driving (SADD) Association of Alberta has been a registered non-profit organization in Alberta since 1990. SADD Alberta was built on the philosophy of youth empowering youth. We are a student run organization and have registered, active SADD chapters in High Schools throughout Alberta. We do have some long standing post-secondary Chapters as well.

SADD Alberta’s goal is to inspire and motivate young people to stand up and eliminate the number one cause of death and injury among youth -- drinking & driving! This will be accomplished by encouraging schools and communities in Alberta to start a SADD chapter.

The goal of each chapter is that, through student leadership with adult advisors as facilitators, the chapter will reduce and perhaps eliminate drinking and driving within its school and community. We encourage this by expressing three ideas:

1. FRIENDS DON'T LET FRIENDS DRINK & DRIVE.

2. DO NOT DRIVE WITH ANYONE WHO HAS BEEN DRINKING.

3. DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE YOURSELF.

The success behind Students Against Drinking & Driving is that it is a student run. SADD is an organization based out of schools but extends into the home and the community.

Remember -- We cannot be #1 until we are ONE!
